About my projectMy Eagle Scout Project is very personal to me. When I was eight years old I was adopted from foster care. I have lived in eight different homes and had a tough start to life, however found my forever family which includes my older sister Serena who lives with another family, my younger sister Cheyenne and younger brother Blake and my mom and dad, dog Penny and two Guinea Pigs & two Fish.
Not everyone is so lucky. Over 23,000 kids every year turn 18 without a family to care for them and many struggle and turn toward the streets or end up in prison. My project is helping those teens. I created a Fresh Start Kit that can help them with their journey and includes household supplies like dishes, towels, pans, cleaning products, etc. The agency I've chosen to work with is Caring for Kids out of Cuyahoga Falls. These totes will be shared with several agencies all around the state of Ohio. |

Though these numbers may be shocking, with support these teens can grow up, go to college, find secure work and have families.
My fresh start kits may not solve all their problems, but hopefully it's enough to get them started on their journey.
